Visit to La Rivelaine for Earth Day
Art, Nature & Scent
Saturday, April 18 from 15:00 - 17:30
Step into a breathtaking spring day just outside Brussels at La Rivelaine in Lillois, a magnificent domaine where art, nature and scent converge in a richly sensory experience, created in partnership with the Fleur Rossdale Foundation.

Set within its tranquil gardens and historic barn, the experience explores the dialogue between botanical cultivation, incense craftsmanship at Insensum, and ecological responsibility. Through guided encounters, exhibitions, and sensory discovery, visitors are welcomed into a living space where creativity fosters environmental awareness and shared cultural understanding.

Set in peaceful gardens and a historic barn, La Rivelaine has long been a meeting place for dialogue, reflection, and our connection with the natural world.
During our private group visit, we will:
-
Explore the gardens and perfumery of La Rivelaine with Cyrille Lucas Vael, discovering how botanical cultivation and scent creation support and protect natural ecosystems.
-
Visit the Insensum atelier and be introduced to the craft of incense-making – where centuries-old knowledge meets contemporary science and the language of scent.
-
Enjoy a private viewing of the “Nature in Art” exhibition, curated by Aglaia Ponomareva, featuring works by established artists alongside pieces by students from EEBA and ISB, entered for the DCCI School Awards.
- Be welcomed in the barn by Fleur Rossdale, founder of the Direct Climate Cooling Initiative, who uses storytelling to bring climate realities to life for younger generations.
- Enjoy tea and cakes at the end of the visit
It promises to be a serene, thought‑provoking outing—a chance to slow down, reawaken the senses, and experience how creativity and ecology can inspire a more hopeful future.
